Educational Overview

The mission of St. John XXIII's educational apostolate is to guide individuals to:

  • Respond to God’s call to personal conversion
  • Form a Christian community
  • Grow in knowledge and culture, become enlightened and enlivened by faith
  • Shape society in the spirit of Gospel freedom, justice and love

There are six tasks of Catechesis:

  • Promoting knowledge of faith
  • Liturgical education

  • Education on how to pray
  • Education for community life
  • Missionary initiation

There are 10 primary areas of Catechesis:

  1. Early childhood
  2. Catholic schools
  3. Children
  4. Adolescents
  5. Young adults
  6. Adults
  7. Families
  8. Elderly
  9. Persons with disabilities
  10. The marginalized

Our parish strives to provide opportunities for faith growth in all of these areas. Please reach out to the RE coordinator with questions about school-age religious education at St. John XXIII.
